8.1 Where your data is stored
Your personal data is stored and processed in India, and may also be processed by our service providers in other countries where they or their sub-processors operate their infrastructure. By using the Website and submitting your information, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own.

India has not been the subject of an adequacy decision by the European Commission. Where personal data is transferred from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland to India or to any other country outside those territories, we implement appropriate safeguards as required by Chapter V of the GDPR. These safeguards include the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, together with supplementary technical and organisational measures where necessary. You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards by writing to sales@marketresearchpoint.com.
8.3 How long we keep your data
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or for as long as required by law. In general:

Once the purpose for which your data was collected has been fulfilled and no legal retention obligation applies, we securely delete or anonymise it.
9. Security of Your Data
We understand the importance of keeping the data you share with us confidential and take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it. These include encryption of data in transit, firewalls and network controls, access restrictions on a need-to-know basis, secure hosting environments, and periodic review of our security practices.
However, no method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal data using commercially acceptable means, we cannot guarantee its absolute security, and any information you transmit to us is transmitted at your own risk.
10. Personal Data Breaches
In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the competent supervisory authority without undue delay and, where feasible, within seventy-two (72) hours of becoming aware of it, in accordance with Article 33 GDPR. Where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will also notify you without undue delay in accordance with Article 34 GDPR. We will respond to a rights request within one month of receipt, or such longer period as applicable law allows where the request is complex.
Where you object to processing based on legitimate interests, you should explain the grounds for your objection. We will stop the processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or unless the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Where you object to processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, we will stop that processing immediately and you are not required to give any reason.
11.1 Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe that our processing of your personal data infringes applicable data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country of residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. We would, however, appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns directly before you approach the authority, and we encourage you to contact us first at sales@marketresearchpoint.com.

If you are located in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies to our processing of your personal data. Where we process your personal data on the basis of consent, that consent is free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous, given by a clear affirmative action, and limited to the purposes notified to you at the point of collection.
As a Data Principal under that Act, you have the right to:
- Obtain a summary of the personal data being processed and the processing activities undertaken;

- Request correction, completion, updating or erasure of your personal data;
- Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity; and
- Readily withdraw your consent at any time, with the ease with which it was given.
To exercise any of these rights, or to raise a grievance regarding our processing of your personal data, please write to us at sales@marketresearchpoint.com. We will acknowledge and respond to your request within the timelines prescribed under the Act and the rules made under it. If your grievance is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may escalate the matter to the Data Protection Board of India.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA. We do not knowingly collect or sell the personal information of consumers under sixteen (16) years of age.
To exercise any of these rights, please write to sales@marketresearchpoint.com with the subject line “California Privacy Request”. We will verify your request before responding, and you may designate an authorised agent to act on your behalf.
